So bizarre. It only makes sense if the Sony execs think of these films ad Extruded Superhero Paste products, throwing writers at quarter-page OHOTMU entries and demanding feature films from it. I was thinking Silk could be fun, but she’s also totally tied up with Peter Parker—at least the next Playstation game will probably make good use of her. It’s such a miracle that the Spider-verse movies are even watchable, let alone masterpiece-level.
Silk would be a good character for a film, although it’d probably be a little like making a Mockingbird movie when you’ve got Black Widow sitting right there, but yeah… she’d still be a much better bet than Madame Web… I wish there was some way to find out who this project started with. Who the first to pitch it? I want to know.
